What is the Jamaica Alumni Cruise?
The Jamaica Alumni Cruise is a group cruise experience designed to bring together alumni of Jamaican high schools and colleges for connection, celebration, and giving back. It combines relaxation, alumni activities, school pride, and meaningful impact for Jamaican schools.
Who can attend the cruise?
- Alumni of any Jamaican high school or college
- Alumni living in Jamaica or the diaspora
- Spouses, partners, friends, and guests (they do not need to be alumni)
Is this cruise affiliated with one specific school?
No. This cruise is intentionally cross-school and cross-generation, welcoming alumni from all Jamaican institutions.
What happens during the Montego Bay stop?
Montego Bay is a special homecoming stop. Guests will have the opportunity to:
- Spend time with family and loved ones
- Reconnect with their communities
- Bring gifts and supplies home
- Participate in personal or organized activities at their own pace
Are shore excursions required?
No. Shore excursions are optional. Guests are free to explore independently, spend time with family, or relax onboard.
Will there be alumni events onboard?
Yes. Select alumni mixers, fun days, and themed activities will be organized, while still allowing plenty of free time to enjoy the cruise at your Reserve your cabin Reserve your cabinown pace.

Miami → Celebration Key → Montego Bay, Jamaica → Grand Cayman → Miami

What is included in my cruise fare?
Your cruise fare typically includes:
- Cruise accommodations
- Main dining and casual dining options
- Onboard entertainment and activities
- Access to ship amenities
- Transportation between ports
(Some items such as gratuities, specialty dining, drinks, Wi-Fi, excursions, and airfare are usually not included.)
Are payment plans available?
Payment options may be available depending on the cruise line and cabin type. Details are provided during the booking process.
What happens if I miss the final payment date?
Failure to complete final payment by the deadline may result in cancellation and possible penalties as determined by the cruise line.
Is there a deposit?
Yes. A deposit is required to secure your cabin.
Are there Cancellation Penalties?
Yes!
If you cancel between November 20, 2026 and December 20, 2026, the penalty is $250 per person.
If you cancel between December 20, 2026 and January 20, 2026, the penalty is 50% of total cost per person.
If you cancel between January 20, 2027 and February 2, 2027, the penalty is 75% of total cost per person.
If you cancel between February 2, 2027 and February 27, 2027, the penalty is full cost per person.

School Pride & Merchandise
Will there be school-based activities?
Yes. Friendly school-based activities, games, and themed moments may be organized, including fun days at sea and alumni competitions.
Participation is always optional.
Do I need to wear school colors or shirts?
No, but many guests choose to represent their schools. School pride is encouraged—but never required.
Will alumni merchandise be available?
Yes. Official alumni cruise merchandise will be available, including items that allow guests to represent their schools and commemorate the experience.
How does this cruise support Jamaican schools?
US$75.00 from each person booking and sailing supports school-focused initiatives, including educational resources and recovery needs heightened by events such as Hurricane Melissa. There will also be other fundraising initiatives
How will funds be used?
Funds are directed toward identified school needs, such as supplies, student support, and recovery-related initiatives.
Will there be transparency about how funds are used?
Yes. After the cruise, participants will receive a summary of funds raised and how they were allocated. Transparency is a core commitment of this initiative. Funds will be distributed to each alumni association that participates for each school.
What travel documents are required?
Guests typically need:
- A valid passport
- Any required visas (if applicable)
- Travel documents provided after booking
Specific requirements depend on nationality and cruise line policies.
Is travel insurance required?
Travel insurance is not required but is strongly recommended. Travel insurance covers your cruise fare in case you have to cancel your cruise after paying.
How will I receive updates before the cruise?
Registered guests will receive email updates with important information, reminders, and event details leading up to sailing.

Does the cruise end on a specific date?
Yes. The cruise concludes on February 27 when we return to Miami.
